Studio November 4 & 5, 2013

Sur ces deux séances nous avons continué le travail sur un morceau que nous avions débuté la séance précédente. Le morceau est tout nouveau, et je l'ai complété la semaine dernière d'un middle eight de quelques mesure histoire d'offrir un peu de surprise dans le morceau. Nous avons travaillé avec Gareth sur ce point puis avec l'ensemble du groupe pour arriver à une structure cohérente. Nous avons terminé pa séance par l'enregistrement d'une prise directe histoire de garder une trace du travail. Le morceau à pris le titre provisoire (donné par Pad) de "Mannas Mazurka" (The dreams I Dream).

New song provisionally called Madass Masurka (not Mannas Vince..:-)) a Vince piano-based idea, which we jammed out a couple of weeks back was worked on during both these sessions - aside of usual jams that we just cant (and shouldn't..) resist when we all get playing together!
Vince brought along a new mid-8 to add a little of the typical Garvin surprise element to the song. We worked out a structure for the song, adding this new idea on Monday evening, and then rehearsed it with the band on Tuesday and recorded a version to come back to again soon and start the recording for real.
Getting really impatient to start the proper multi-track recording of this new material in the studio.. it will give me/us something else to spend time on instead of writing new songs and piling up the work! There again - this is a magical moment, full of combined creativity, so it's tough to press the pause button..
